The Troup County School System, La Grange, Georgia, Board of Education, is seeking a highly qualified and fully certified Superintendent.
The Board wishes to have the successful candidate assume the responsibilities of the position on or before July 1, 2024.

They will assist the Board of Education in identifying and screening the candidates.

Location: 70 miles southwest of Atlanta
The Qualifications
The candidate must have the background, skills, and abilities essential for excellence in educational leadership.
The board recognizes that selecting a superintendent is one of the most important decisions it will make.
The Board developed the following desired characteristics.
A leader who is an excellent communicator and uses those skills to communicate with diverse groups within the district and the community;
A leader who will embrace the theme of the Troup County Schools – “A place for every kid,” and can validate, through his/her previous work in education, that belief;
A leader who can validate, through previous proven data points of student success, that he/she can lead Troup County to improved student outcomes;
A leader who chooses to reside in and embrace a leadership role in the community;
A leader who will embrace, lead any needed revisions of, and implement the current Troup County School District’s strategic plan.
