Job Summary
Housing Ambassadors are undergraduate students who serve as representatives for housing and are well informed about vital aspects of on-campus living.
The Housing Ambassadors provide a welcoming environment to prospective students and their families, while giving informative and engaging tours of our seven different residential areas.
While in the office, Housing Ambassadors assist students and families with their on-campus housing to ensure that students and families are well informed.
Essential Functions
Responsibilities include:
Leading tours of the residence halls for prospective students and their families.
Answering the Auburn University Housing (AUH) main phone line at the front desk.
Answering Housing email account.
Assisting with guests’ questions.
Helping other AUH staff with projects and administrative duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Housing Ambassadors must be enrolled as an Auburn University student.
Expectations:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
Must have an understanding of customer service, public speaking, and a go-getter attitude.
Must have a GPA of 2.
5 or higher.
Must be available to work at least 10 hours a week during office business hours.
Office business hours are from 7:45am-4:45pm Monday through Friday.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience living on-campus is preferred, but not required.
Pay Rate $9.
