Job Summary
Primary responsibility is to support the instructional mission of the University.
At least 60% of the student’s responsibility as a teaching assistant must be devoted to the direct instruction of students, typically in a classroom or laboratory setting.
Essential Functions
Advising or mentoring of students
Proctoring exams
Grading papers
Homework, and/or projects
Preparing instructional materials
Providing other general assistance in the instructional process
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled as an Auburn University graduate student.
Degree in History or in related field on a 2:2 schedule holding at least 33 percent appointment.
Admitted to a graduate degree-seeking or certificate program.
Students admitted to graduate degree-seeking or certificate programs will be classified as MST, EDS, PHD, GCRT, GND, or GPR.
Registered for at least one course (anything carrying an Auburn University course number) during each academic term of the assistantship.
Satisfy the minimum course load specifications of the individual departments and be making satisfactory progress toward the degree.
