Position Title Assistant Professor and Laboratory Coordinator
Job Summary
Teach one section of CHEM 231, one section of CHEM 233, one section of CHEM 307, and one section of CHEM 308.
Essential Job Duties
Take part in departmental meetings.
Take part in professional development opportunities.
Conduct research where opportunities arise.
Write grants for funding from national funding agencies.
Preferred Qualifications
M.
S.
degree in Chemistry or Biology
One year of undergraduate teaching experience
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills in a team setting
Knowledge and skills to effectively interact with people fl·om different cultural backgrounds, including those associated with race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, socioeconomic status, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, and other aspects of human diversity
Strong organizational and computer skills
Willingness to be flexible with teaching assignments
Capacity to lead and organize undergraduate teaching assistants
