Position Summary The Materials Group Leader is responsible for supervising team leaders and team members in the Materials area.
This positon also supports Materials Sub-contract Company which is responsible for operational component supply.
This position must provide strong leadership and management of day – to – day floor operations.
The main areas of responsibility include safety, quality control, timely component delivery, and inventory control.
This position must promote positive team relations and lead, by example, all HTGP expectations and performance standards.
This position requires ability to work in fast paced, changing environment with ability to adapt to meet business needs.
Essential Functions Corporate: Adheres to the Hyundai Transys Georgia Powertrain (HTGP) policies and procedures and leads others in same.
Treats all HTGP team members with respect and professional courtesy.
Confirms and Adheres to all required HTGP Certification standards such as IATF16949, OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001.
Always maintains pro-team member environment.
Learns, demonstrates and upholds the HTGP Core Values.
Performs special assignments as required by management.
EHS: Adheres to all safety policies and procedures Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment Consistently meets company safety goals Technical: Responsible for day-to-day safety in Materials area working with Sub-contractors as needed to insure safety culture.
Responsible for insuring integrity of components are maintained from receipt to point of use.
Understands supply chain to all customers and troubleshoots as needed to insure products are supplied in a timely, consistent manner minimizing any downtime to internal operations.
Day-to-day inventory control, inventory management and FIFO.
Assists with inventory cycle counting, container yard inventory storage and incoming CKD receipts from Korea Understands Housing ASRS system and software and able to troubleshoot supply issues in a timely manner Assists with development and implementation of EO’s where required Leads LP ordering, OSD (Scrap) programs or other assigned projects to meet business needs Leads capital projects as directed for continuous improvement in Materials department.
Performs special assignments as required by management for continuous improvement of Materials department.
Supports IATF 16949 through accurate SOP’s, work instructions and meets IATF audit needs Controls Non-conforming materials protocols and works to insure entire department does the same.
Works to understand and insure compliance to CTPAT program in Materials area.

Education High School/GED 4 Year Degree or comparable background of work related experience in supervisions and/or production control related activities * Equivalent work related experience (equivalency is figured generally as 2 years’ experience equaling 1 year of formal education) may be considered in addition to the “Position Requirement”.
