Position summary: The responsibility for the Crumb System Operator is to ensure consistent supply to backing line including management of crumb delivery in bulk trucks and big bags.
This position will also be required to cross train on latex line and cutting line and will be expected to assist or fill in these areas as needed.
Educational requirements: High school diploma or GED required Skills and experience: Previous textile experience helpful.
Basic mathematical concepts including fractions, decimals, and percentages preferred Fork-lift experience required Essential duties: Perform essential tasks per procedures.
Load crumb into Bulk Bag Unloader.
Connect crumb bulk truck to crumb convey system.
Set up correct crumb supply options to backing line.
Inspect crumb quality by performing visual and QC checks.
Manage crumb levels for backing line.
Work with Logistics Coordinator to manage crumb inventory and waste stream.
Enter production data in MESr/AS-400.
Communicate crumb system status to console operators.
Assist in crumb type change overs as needed.
Maintain housekeeping.
Comply with safety rules.
Comply with environmental regulations.
Be aware of departmental material safety data sheets (MSDS) Perform other duties as assigned.
Notify line specialist or supervisor of potential quality problems.
Ensure ISO procedures are followed.
Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.
Physical demands: Standing for long periods of time Reaching and pulling suspended bulk bags weighing up to 1,500 pounds Lift up to 60 pounds Climb stairs/ladders safely Arms overhead for short time periods 10 to 12 hour shifts as needed Work environment: Non-climate controlled manufacturing environment Some work on 2nd floor catwalk We are a VEVRAA Federal Contractor.
