Product Cost Analyst

Requirements and Responsibilities Bachelor's Degree 3+ years’ experience in cost accounting in manufacturing.
Analyze financial data to expose any information useful in improving operating efficiencies and changes in product design, raw material, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
Make estimates of new and proposed product costs and recommends cost efficiencies in new product layouts.
Apply principles of cost accounting (standard cost system) statistics to provide management with detailed and accurate product cost information.
Communicate problems and propose solutions to senior/peer management.
Perform analysis of cost-related accounts and accounts reconciliation.
Helping build the annual budget and project variances.
Develop production cost center year end and next year operating labor and overhead rates for SAP cost system.
Analyze and interpret manufacturing and overhead spending variances.
Prepare P&L bid templates from downloaded SAP sales quotes.
Design pricing mechanisms and formulas Strong SAP knowledge is a prerequisite preferably gained as part of a successful implementation or upgrade of a SAP system.
SAP Profitability Analysis (COPA) is a plus.
Industrial Engineering experience/Knowledge a plus.
