*Position Purpose*
The Production Supervisor will ensure safety practices are being followed, production goals are met, shifts are fully staffed, housekeeping is maintained, and waste is kept at a minimum.
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the production while interfacing with operations, working with quality control to ensure that our standards are met, maintaining health and safety standards (OSHA) for the workplace and all individuals, appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
*Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*
· Ensure safe and clean working environment
· Supervise production employees
· Ensure all production lines are running efficiently and effectively
· Ensuring employees are present and at their assigned workstations
· Work with Quality Department to address quality concerns.
· Ensure that production goals are met
· Train employees
· Appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
· Enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
· Maintain attendance records for your shift
· Any other duties as assigned by management
*Work Environment and Physical Demands*
· Standing for long periods of time
· Lifting up to 50 pounds
· Climbing ladders
· Walking long distances
· Extreme heat
*Position Type/Expected Hours of Work*
· Rotating 12-hour shifts
*Qualifications / Skills*
· Ability to think critically, communicate with other members of management and employees and, set and meet goals
· Bachelors degree in manufacturing related field or equivalent work experience.
· Proven leadership skills
· OSHA Certification preferred
· Experience in Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP.
· ISO 9000
