We are part of the Auburn Technology Park WEST at I85/Exit 50. *Responsibilities* * *Conduct inspections by using micrometers, calipers, comparators, indicators, CMM* * *Conduct and document quality inspections of finished goods to ensure quality conforms to specified requirements* * *Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies* * Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance * Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.) * Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc. * Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards * Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and discard any that doesn’t meet requirements * Report all unusual conditions or results, unsafe conditions, broken or out of calibration equipment, procedures not in effect to Quality Manager *Requirements and skills* * *Proven experience as Quality Controll Inspector or relevant role* * *Able to find and read measures and tolerances on blue prints* * *Able to adequately use micrometers and calipers* * A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach * Responsible and trustworthy * Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems * Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies * Understanding of quality certifications is a strong advantage (ISO 9001 and IATF 16949) * Working knowledge of MS Office * High School Degree * Further qualifications prefered Job Type: Full-time Pay: $13.50 - $18.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Employee assistance program * Flexible schedule * Health insurance * Paid time off * Professional development assistance * Retirement plan * Tuition reimbursement * Vision insurance Experience level: * 2 years Schedule: * 10 hour shift * 12 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Night shift * Overtime * Weekends as needed Work setting: * In-person Experience: * Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred) Shift availability: * Day Shift (Preferred) * Night Shift (Preferred) * Overnight Shift (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: * Auburn, AL 36832: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
