Holland + Seals is a growing company and has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Project Leader to join our construction team. The ideal candidate would be a recent construction related graduate or have at least 2 years of construction background with prior project management experience. Candidate must be hardworking, have the ability to lead, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties that will be performed include, but not limited to: * Review plans and specifications with trade partners on site and communicate the scope of work. * Attend and sometimes conduct jobsite meetings with trade partners, engineers, and city officials to ensure efficient and orderly performance of the job. * Ensure construction schedules are being met and also updated on a daily basis. * Responsible for submitting daily logs and progress reports through provided project management software. * Coordinate and oversee regulatory inspections set forth by the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction). * Assist other Project Leaders. * Procure material and issue variance purchase orders for any unforeseen items that arise outside of the original budget and scope. * Clearly communicate scope of work and pricing requirements with trade partners. * Mentor and lead other less experienced team members as the role progresses. The following Experience – Qualifications – Education - and Skills are not required, but preferred: * Bachelor’s degree in Building Science or Engineering. * Related construction experience. * Ability to read a set of construction plans. * Proficiently utilize project management software, Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and estimating tools: PlanSwift, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Buildertrend, Procore, etc. * Ability to adapt quickly and change with innovative technology. * Strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
