Position Details Position Information Requisition Number TES2146P Home Org Name Human Devlmnt Family Science Division Name College of Human Sciences Position Title TES Child Life Affiliation Agreements Specialist & Early Child Development Student Recruiter Estimated Hours Per Week 20 Anticipated Length of Assignment one year Job Summary This temporary, 20-hour per week position will report to the Head of the Human Development and Family Science Department and work with Amanda Butler, Director of Child Life Programs and Emily Cumbie, Early Child Development Online Student Success Coordinator. The position will focus on completing child life hospital affiliation agreements, renewing affiliation agreements, securing new affiliation agreements for hospitals that require affiliation before students can apply, working closely with workforce development for early care and education and Alabama Community Colleges to recruit students into the Early Child Development online degree completion program. Additional Child Life and/or ECD related tasks may also be involved as assigned. Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. AU student employees are not eligible for TES. Essential Functions Arranging for meetings and collaborating with workforce development programs that target early care and education across Alabama. Arranging for meetings and collaborating with community college partners to create transfer agreements for early childhood students. Communicating with potential students regarding ECD program requirements. Reviewing current hospital affiliation agreements to assure they are active. Review incoming hospital affiliation agreements each semester, contacting necessary parties at Auburn (i.e., insurance office, provost office) for input and final signatures. Pursuing new hospital affiliations with hospitals that require affiliation in order to accept student applications. Organizing existing hospital affiliations in j: Drive. Talking with students as needed about hospitals with which Auburn is affiliated. Maintaining communication with program coordinators within the HDFS department. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required Desired Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with others Ability to negotiate assignments and affiliation agreements/contracts with placement sites Experience in Early Childhood, Child Life, or a closely related field preferred Posting Detail Information Salary Range $25.00/hour Work Hours 20 City position is located in: Auburn State position is located: Alabama Posting Date 02/02/2024 Closing Date EEO Statement Auburn University is committed to an inclusive and diverse campus environment.
