Position Information Position Title Alumni Engagement Manager Job Summary Represent the University when needed at on-campus events, regional events, and alumni gatherings Essential Job Duties Develop a process to track the effectiveness of programming initiatives and create metrics to measure program success and staff effectiveness. Identify geographic and affinity-based segments for focused alumni activities and programs Identify opportunities to highlight alumni in print and electronic communications, special events, website, etc. Work with the University Ambassadors to enhance the student connection with Tuskegee alumni Identify, cultivate, and recruit alumni volunteers for targeted geographic and affinity based networks and societies. This position will develop, nurture, and manage alumni networks and societies to ensure they provide programming that aligns with the University’s and the Tuskegee University National Alumni Association’s strategic mission and goals Manage mass solicitations programs such as online giving, phonathon, direct mail, and social media Develop strategies to improve acquisition, renewal, and pledge fulfillment Assist with the development of departmental collateral materials Solicit leadership annual gifts from an active portfolio of select donors and prospects. Responsibilities include development of strategy, preparation of proposals and materials, solicitation, closing and stewardship including written documentation for accurate gift recording and use, acknowledgements, reporting, and stewardship. Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training) Must have a Bachelor’s degree Must have two or more years of proven experience in fundraising Physical Demands N/A Skills and Attributes Ability to work a flexible schedule and work evenings or weekend as needed Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with great attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills, both written and oral, as well as a level of sophistication and maturity in social and professional settings Discretion and an ability to maintain a high level confidentiality Posting Detail Information Posting Number S366 Will this position required travel?
