Position Summary The PC Group Leader is responsible for supervising team leaders and team members in the production control area. This position must provide strong leadership and management of day – to – day manufacturing floor operations. The main areas of responsibility include safety, quality control, timely customer shipments, inventory control, and logistics. This position must promote positive team relations and lead, by example, all HTGP expectations and performance standards. Essential Functions Corporate: Adheres to the Hyundai Transys Georgia Powertrain (HTGP) policies and procedures and leads others in same. Treats all HTGP team members with respect and professional courtesy. Confirms and Adheres to all required HTGP Certification standards such as IATF16949, OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001. Always maintains pro-team member environment. Learns, demonstrates and upholds the HTGP Core Values. Performs special assignments as required by management. EHS: Adheres to all safety policies and procedures Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment Consistently meets company safety goals Technical: Responsible for day-to-day safety in all production control areas. Responsible for insuring integrity of components are maintained from receipt of transmissions in production control to shipment of product to OE customers. Understands supply chain to all customers and troubleshoots as needed to ensure timely, consistent supply. Manages day-to-day inventory control and ASRS capacity management. Assists with inventory cycle counting, container yard inventory storage and incoming CKD receipts from Korea. Responsible for Finished Good FIFO , KMMG Emergency stock supply per inventory Control OP. Understands FG ASRS system and software and able to troubleshoot supply issues in a timely manner. Assists with development and implementation of KMMG emergency supply procedures. Leads capital projects as directed for continuous improvement in safety and efficiency of PC department. Performs special assignments as required by management for continuous improvement of PC department. Supports all IATF 16949 activities including internal and external audits Supports and conducts training activities as needed to insure IATF 16949 compliance Supports SOP’s, work instructions, etc…as needed to insure department consistency and compliance to BMS. Leadership: Directs multiple team leaders and team members in their respective areas of responsibility Responsible for day-to-day PC activities safety, quality, including inventory control and 100% timely deliveries. Understands and enforces a 5S philosophy to maintain a clean working environment. Communicates to team leaders, team members and management as required to meet department goals. Ability to work with Quality and Assembly departments on a daily basis to meet company goals. Supports training activities as required for all team members Ability to lead team members toward a common goal in a fast paced work environment. Ability to multi-task at all times making quick, sound decisions on a day-to-days basis in a calm, confident manner. Meets all other requirements as assigned. Education High School/GED 4 Year Degree or comparable background of work related experience in supervisions and/or production control related activities * Equivalent work related experience (equivalency is figured generally as 2 years’ experience equaling 1 year of formal education) may be considered in addition to the “Position Requirement”. Flexibility in working hours to include nights, weekends and holidays as required. OT required as needed. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be eligible to work in the United States and possess the basic ability to read, write and communicate in English. Must satisfactorily complete HTGP hiring process requirements, which includes phone interview, in-person interview, medical and functional assessment, drug screen and background check. Candidates must be able to work some overtime hours and occasional weekend days. Candidates must be capable of working on their feet for long periods, demonstrating hand dexterity and tolerating repetitious work patterns.
