To assist and lead team members in achieving objectives for safety, quality, productivity, training, and team harmony
Essential Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Master all jobs and skills of his/her team in order to train, relieve, and assist team members.
Perform assigned Team Leader tasks including pre-shift duties, during shift duties, and after shift duties.
Understand and teach the Georgia Production System (GPS) to team members as a method of continuous improvement; monitor safety, quality, cost, and productivity with daily improvement activities.
Create a positive work environment for all team members; motivate, train, and develop team members to effectively perform their jobs utilizing standard methods and procedures.
Assign team members to area operations in accordance with production demands and training; coordinate activities with the Group Leader.
Interact with others to resolve quality issues; act as a technical problem solving resource by determining root causes and countermeasures.
Implement repair/containment procedures for repetitive quality defects; notify management and affected groups or departments in a timely manner.
Assure product quality meets all specifications and standards by performing quality checks throughout the shift as directed by the Group Leader.
Serve as a communication link between team members and the Group Leader through daily team meetings.
Monitor team members for problems which may affect team performance and seek direction from the Group Leader on corrective initiatives, including training and development.
Collect, record, and analyze data regarding daily activities, such as those related to safety, quality, productivity, cost factors, equipment, etc.

Qualifications and Job Requirements
Completed 1 year Length of Service as a Team Member.
No active Corrective Action within past 12 months from opening.
Minimum score of 75 on performance evaluations within past 12 months of opening.
Required completion of KMMG Team Leader Development & Leadership Training – 8 of 16 hours.
Training is voluntary – unpaid and completed outside of Team Members work hours.
