As the key liaison between Five Star and clients, the Retail Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. This individual supervises and coordinates activities within the retail team to deliver best-in-class retail operations. Key responsibilities include managing retail vending and market route operations, overseeing retail employees, and executing various retail initiatives. Supervisory Responsibilities: * Directly manages retail vending and market route operations for assigned client locations. * Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. * Conducts interviews, hires, trains, and evaluates retail employees. * Plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; addresses complaints; and resolves problems. * Ensures execution and compliance with plan-o-grams, promotions, and market installations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Maintains positive client relations by visiting accounts and responding to customer needs promptly and professionally. * Coaches, trains, and assesses Retail Merchandisers to uphold the highest level of customer service. * Supports sales activities, including client presentations, grand opening events, trade shows, proforma development, and retail space design. * Coordinates and executes retail installations, merchandising, and promotional activities. * Reviews financial reports to ensure client satisfaction, data integrity, and compliance with company standards. * Manages the retail operating system within program standards, utilizing reports for replenishment and inventory control. * Optimizes service frequencies for maximum retail sales without compromising customer satisfaction. * Collaborates with other Retail Team Managers to enhance route efficiency and customer service. * Conducts regular meetings with merchandise service and attendant personnel to foster open communication. * Ensures proper handling of perishable foods, inventory controls, and analyzes financial reports for profitability. * Maintains a safe working environment and communicates company safety policies to employees. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination. * Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members. * Proficient in computer applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email processes. * Valid driver's license and good driving record required; background and/or security check. Physical Demands: * Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. * Regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to stand, sit, and use hands. Work Environment: * Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions; occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high places, and extreme temperatures.
