Responsibilities:
The Assistant Manager will perform the following duties:
Assistant the General Manager with daily duties
Receives and resolves guest complaints and service recovery process
Selects or assists in the selection of hotel staff and completes all new hire paperwork
Adheres to company procedures and regulations as well as standard operating procedures.
Performs daily, weekly, and monthly property inspections
Ensures property, grounds, physical plant, and work areas are maintained to standard
Builds strong working relationships and communications with hotel staff and suppliers
Monitor maintenance progress and provide status reports to GM
Audits on par stock in all areas to make sure that all required hotel supplies are ordered and stocked in advance of need
Performs effective leadership to hotel team members, and trains on all systems
Must be available 24/7 in case to respond to any guest, employee, or hotel emergencies
All Other duties as assigned by the General Manager
Qualifications:
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities
Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility
Will be exposed to commercial cleaning chemicals
Carrying, lifting, or pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds
Frequently handling objects and equipment
Will be required to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
