ESG Operations, an Inframark Company, is hiring a Parks and Rec Maintenance Supervisor to join our Opelika, AL location.

You would be responsible for staff supervision, training, planning, department tools, equipment, and supplies, budget preparation, regulation compliance, public relations, and reporting.

Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the maintenance of grounds, athletic fields, and park areas
Responsible for staff supervision and training, including interviewing, recommending selection, training, assigning work, evaluating work, counseling, disciplining, and recommending termination; prepares periodic employee evaluations.
Oversee strategic planning, budget preparation, regulatory compliance, public relations, and reporting
Maintain department tools, equipment, and supplies
Plan and organize activities for areas of responsibility; schedule and assign tasks, ensuring compliance with company safety standards; assist with the completion of departmental tasks as needed.
Perform inspections of parks and recreational areas to ensure conditions comply with standards; visit worksites to monitor the performance of personnel.
Perform clerical functions such as preparing payrolls, performing research, preparing equipment and materials purchase orders, setting up and maintaining files and records, or entering work orders into a computer database, conducting periodic inventory of equipment and materials, and returning phone calls.
Process daily paperwork, including schedules, reports, and personnel information.
Oversee and approve expenditures for area of responsibility under a set dollar limit; purchase operating materials.
Gather and maintain information and data to support periodic and special reports documenting activities for area of responsibility.
Attend staff meetings and conduct safety meetings to exchange information; attend approved in-service training and technical or professional classes to improve technical or professional skills.
Attend safety classes, and reinforce and comply with company safety policies.
Qualifications:
Education and training equivalent to 4 years of college or specialized vocational training in turf management, horticulture, or a closely related field
5 years of related experience and knowledge of turf management practices
Valid state driver’s license
