Position Title Director of Information Security Services
Job Summary
Directly reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and supports all aspects of the Information Security that spread across the Tuskegee university campus, including:
IT architecture Design – Incident Response
Audit Readiness – IT Product Support
Cybersecurity awareness Education & Stakeholder Outreach – Network Monitoring
Business Continuity Planning & IT Disaster Recovery – Physical Security
Data Classification – Policies, Standards, and Exemptions
Governance, Risk & Compliance – Process Automation
Identity & Access Management – Software Engineering
Third-Party Vendor Oversight – Vulnerability Management
Temporary Position
Essential Job Duties
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning including achievement of professional certification (s) such as ISC2 CISSP, SANS GIAC, and/or CompTlA Security+.
10 years or more working professionally in information security or related roles.
Achieved increasing professional responsibility including supervision of staff members.
Demonstrated track record of operating effectively within a distributed IT structure to achieve shared goals.
Committed to the ISO’s guiding values: “Education – Partnership – Solutions”
Demonstrates sound judgment, resourcefulness, technical capabilities, analytical abilities, and steady decision making.
Comfortable with public speaking to large audiences, both in-person and via remote methods.
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)
Bachelor’s degree in a related field;
5 -10 years related professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Master’s degree is desirable.
