Position Title IT Project Manager
Job Summary
The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning and successfully implementing IT projects involving systems and system upgrades/improvements using contemporary project management strategies and methodologies.
The IT projects may range from network upgrades, in- house software development to implementation of vendor-supplied systems.
Essential Job Duties
The IT projects may range from network upgrades, in- house software development to implementation of vendor-supplied systems.
This position tracks requests that may become projects and coordinates the request disposition with IT Operations, ERP Lead and Help desk managers.
It also provides guidance on best practices and tools than can be applied more broadly in Central IT, beyond IT Services projects, and may lead such projects as needs arise.
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business, or related field.
Seven years IT related experience.
A minimum of five years information security experience and three years of supervisory or project leadership experience.
Applicable certification (e.
g.
, CISA, CISM, CISSP).

Meets core competencies for IT audits, compliance and system controls, including: ability to understand governance, risks, and controls appropriate to the organization; extensive knowledge of the IT environment and industry practices; excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills; ability to create and deliver presentations to the management; ability to persuade and collaborate; ability to work both independently and as part of a team; ability to drive improvement and innovation; and excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
