This position will oversee the growing programs within the lab. Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. AU student employees are not eligible for TES. Essential Functions Lead and oversee the daily program operations to meet schedules, adhere to standard procedures, and meet reporting requirements. Assists in developing, planning, and implementing projects within the program ensuring goals and objectives are accomplished within parameters. Collects and analyzes data to provide reports to enhance the mission and goals of the lab. Monitors and assures quality of data and determines how to translate into usable, actionable information. Establishes and maintains internal and external contacts to permit timely and effective sharing of information and implementation of lab programs and initiatives. Partner with Lab Directors in the design and planning of research, experiments, tests, and laboratory sequences. Support Lab Directors with formal tours of the laboratory to foster relationships for potential funded research by preparing demonstrations and/or program-related presentations. Monitor timekeeping for student teams, as well as onboard and train students to ensure programs are properly resourced. Travel for recruiting, events, and research as necessary.
