Job Description Summary
The Auburn University Department of Chemical Engineering invites applications for a full-time lecturer position.
This non-tenure track appointment’s anticipated start date is August 2024.
The primary responsibility of the position is to teach a selection of biomedical engineering and chemical engineering courses.
The successful candidate is expected to bring experience, innovation, enthusiasm, technology, and leadership to the Department of Chemical Engineering’s educational program.
A typical teaching load will be three courses per semester, which includes course and laboratory development and management activities.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field at the time employment begins.
The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
A Ph.
D (or terminal degree) is required at the time employment begins.
Excellent communication skills and a high level of personal motivation are required.
Desired Qualifications
The candidate selected for this position must demonstrate a strong commitment and potential to excel at teaching in the areas of biomedical engineering and chemical engineering.
While not mandatory, prior teaching and/or industrial experience will be valued in the review process.
