The best candidate must be able to support to Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) mission and exercise support to prepare defenders to protect against the threat of cyber attacks. The purpose of the program is to train cyber workforce personnel responsible for protecting the networks. This effort provides a safe, controlled training representation of the operational system enabling network operators to effectively train and prepare for cyber threats without impacting the operational systems. The System Administrator (SA) will be responsible for configuring the Cyber Range for Training and Exercises. The SA and the SA/TL will integrate frequently in order to ensure the CRTF is properly configured to support each event. This person will be responsible for entering student's names, configuration of the infrastructure to support training and exercises including Role Based Access Control. The SA will ensure the CRTF facility and components adhere to the appropriate directives (DIACAP, DIARMF, etc). The SA will provide inputs to documentation to support Certification and Accreditation of the CRTF and components. The System Administrator will work closely with training and exercise operators, training requirements analysts and training instructors to ensure the program needs are met. Qualifications The BMDS System is a extremely complex system requiring continuous monitoring and incident response, with unique mission and required availability in defense of the Homeland 24X7X365. The program must adhere to joint headquarter requirements such as; DoD O-8530.1 and SD 538-4. Personnel will be expected to adhear to Tier II CND-SP for systems and enclaves IAW CJCSI 6510.01F; Tier II CND services for components provided by USSTRATCOM Joint Functional Component Command - Integrated Missile Defense (JFCC-IMD) and the USSTRATCOM Network Operations Center (STRATNOC) at Offutt AFB, NE AND WITH JFCC-IMD; and Tier I CNDSP designated as US CYBERCOM. Non-Mission Systems are supported by MDA-CERT. Certifications Required: IAT or IAM III per Workforce Improvement Program (DOD 8140 and DOD 8570.01-M) with appropriate Clearance required: Secret with eligibility for a TS or TS SCI Familiarity with Cyber Range, Info Log Media Monitor and performing integration of hardware and software for SMDC and MDA labs is a plus. Years Experience: Associate Technical Degree + 3 6 years experience. Experience in providing general and/or specialized operational and maintenance support to computer network systems and associated equipment.
