The Greater Peace Community Development Corporation is seeking teachers and para professionals to to conduct our Summer Educational Enrichment Program for students grades K-8 grade.
If you are an elementary/middle school teacher or someone with an educational background or who has experience working with youth and is seeking summer employment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Ideal candidates for this role will have good teaching experience in reading, math, history, science, physical education, and counseling.
In addition, we are seeking a teacher/counselor to oversee our new teen center in the afternoons.
Camp begins June 3rd and ends July 12th.
We will be closed in observance of Juneteenth and July 4-5 in observance of Independence Day.
Morning teachers work 7:30 am-12:30 pm and afternoon teachers work 12:30 pm-5:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
Conduct hands on learning lessons and activities for students K-6
Plan and prep summer camp material e.

Plan and conduct hands-on and project based learning activities
Create a fun and safe learning environment
Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
Follow guidelines and safety protocols defined by the Greater Peace Community Development Corporation
Collaborate with other teachers and staff, participate in staff meetings to get/share feedback
Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
Engages with students
Develops age/grade appropriate and fun learning opportunities for students
Utilize assistance from teen interns
Other duties as assigned
