Position Details Position Information Requisition Number TES2050P Home Org Name Curriculum & Teaching Division Name College of Education Position Title TES Grant Administrator Estimated Hours Per Week 20 Anticipated Length of Assignment January 16, 2024 - September 30, 2026 Job Summary Provides administrative and general clerical support within an academic department or outreach program with responsibility for a broad variety of office and project support duties and tasks. Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being: Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads Assistance with special projects Seasonal work Emergencies If you are looking for an employment opportunity, TES is a great way to showcase your professional skills and assist Auburn University while gaining valuable work experience within higher education. Essential Functions Performs multiple duties which are a mix of administrative and clerical in nature, which may include, but are not limited to: Data gathering, data management, correspondence, filing, calendar management, event scheduling, registration, mail distribution, answering the phone and emails, website maintenance, and purchasing/ordering supplies. Provides budget tracking and monitoring, payroll processing, travel/expense voucher processing, as well as other expenditure processing. Advises faculty, staff, and students of standard policies or procedures. Acts as a liaison to other departments, clients, and students on behalf of project director. Acts as point of contact for purchasing or vendor/outside agencies. May perform some administrative duties which may include, but are not limited to: Budget coordination, human resources administration (beyond payroll entry), recruitment coordination, preparation of reports/documents/presentations, or coordination of complex projects or events. Minimum Qualifications Education Level: High School Diploma or equivalent Years of Experience: 5 Area of Experience: Experience in clerical and administrative support services Alternate Minimum Education and Experience (If available): 5 years’ experience working in administrative/business employment. Minimum Skills and Abilities – Minimum Technology Skills: Word, Excel, Web page creation/maintenance, email, Adobe, experience managing budgets. Minimum License and Certifications: None Required Desired Qualifications Desired Qualifications: Experience developing and maintaining web sites, monitoring budgets and payroll records, and using AU internal systems such as Banner.
