Job Summary
The Research Assistant will assist Regional Agents with outreach and administrative support for volunteer program management.
Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university.
TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus.
Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
Assistance with special projects
Seasonal work
Emergencies

Essential Functions
The position will encompass, but is not limited to, the following………
Manage Volunteer reporting
Monitor vol.
reporting database and report to supervisor when inconsistencies are seen
Communications with Regional Agents for consistency in vol.
management and outreach
Coordinate survey tools used by volunteers
Assist revision of Extension publications
Facilitate review and renewal processes
Administrative support for statewide Volunteer program management:
Mailing or delivering program materials
Ordering program materials for events and workshops.
Request background checks for volunteers and manage record of these
Plan logistics for volunteer training events
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
