*Benefit Specialist* Benefits Specialists are an integral part of a company's HR department and require the highest level of confidentiality.
They are responsible for administering the company’s employee benefit offering from retirement plans and health insurance to life insurance and beyond.
This position is also responsible for managing the company attendance policy.
Additionally, learning the technical aspects of the HR systems.
*JOB DUTIES:* * Day-to-day administration of company benefits including Medical, Prescription, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Disability, 401K, and Voluntary benefits.
* Administer and manage employee attendance system and warning process and understanding of rules and regulations.
* Develop and maintain employee communications that include but not limited to general benefits, new hire presentation, creation of the monthly employee newsletter, etc.
* Assist/resolve any benefits questions and issues in a professional matter.
* Identifying opportunities for continued process improvements.
* Ability to identify when issues need to be escalated to resolve.
* Research and analyze data to ensure accuracy.
* Train and assist HR team members on HRIS systems.
* Technologically savvy * All other duties as assigned.
*QUALIFICATIONS:* * This is an individual contributor role that requires the following competencies: Instills Trust, Customer Focus, Action Oriented, Optimizes Work Processes and Self Development.
* Ability to work effectively as a team or independent, possessing tact and discretion and demonstrates high level of confidentiality in all matters.
* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
* Independently able to use excel, word, publisher, and power-point.
* Must be able to lift 30 pounds, sit/walk/stand for long periods of time.
* Must have a valid driver's license.
Pay based on experience.
