Job Title: *HR Generalist * Location: LaGrange, GA Reports To: VP of HR *Position Purpose * Position assists the HR Department with recruiting, on boarding, benefits, payroll, document management, communication, and HR administrative tasks.
This position absolutely requires high level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
*Job Functions * * Assist and drive the overall recruiting process for exempt and non-exempt positions, includes outside employment agencies * Draft offer letters and other necessary paperwork for on boarding processes.
Includes coordinating drug tests, physicals and background checks.
* Be proficient in all areas of HR responsibilities, including payroll, recruiting, and benefits.
* Coordinate and help administer Orientation of new employees and training processes.
* Ensure new hire paperwork, including training documents, are completed and scanned/filed appropriately.
* Assist with annual compensation and performance review process.
* Leverage the compensation tool, Mercer, to ensure Norican Group’s wages are competitive in the market.
* Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
* Assist in HR Projects involving Lean Program Implementation, EHS Programs and other company initiatives/events.
* Be proficient with all the HRIS and Payroll systems.
* Assist with updating and maintaining Company Policy Handbook * Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
* Run appropriate HR reports as needed, along with maintaining the organizational charts.
* Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
* Perform special projects and duties as required.
*Qualifications & Experience * * Bachelor’s degree (HR, Business, or similar field)- Required * At least 5 years of HR experience (manufacturing preferred) * Based in LaGrange, GA office, some work from home available * Certificates & Licenses- working towards PHR or SPHRM-CP * Computer Skills- Strong PC aptitude and skills, especially in Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint * Ceridian/Dayforce experience a plus * High integrity and Confidentiality * Must have excellent analytical and communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
